Exclusive learning experiences at EPTDA’s 2018 leadership conferences at Schaeffler technologies AG & CO.KG, and in Tenerife

As part of the EPTDA Academy, the EMEA Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA), the leading organisation for the mechanical Power Transmission and Motion Control (PT/MC) industry in EMEA, is continuously striving to enrich its learning experience for its members. At EPTDA’s Leadership Conference in Tenerife (21-23 March 2018) and at the association’s Regional Conference hosted by Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co.KG in Germany (17 May 2018), EPTDA members’ representatives will have the opportunity of attending unique training workshops & seminars, all related to the PT/MC industry. These exclusive learing sessions will be presented by highly reputed speakers and specialits, repectively Mr. Robert Maguire and Prof. Dr. Gunther Herr.

In this fast changing industry and business climate, and with the all new digital transformation processes, EPTDA shifts rapidly and anticipates the growing need of providing timely education and training sessions for its leaders and member representatives. Considering the dynamic and demanding era we all live in, being a step ahead and developing educational programs for today’s and the future leaders, is a major sign of mature responsibility and attention paid to the PT/MC professional environment”, comments Hans Hanegreefs, EPTDA’s Executive Vice President. “EPTDA is bringing its members right at the center of these unique developments, by gathering the movers and shakers of the industry and confronting them with tomorrow’s needs, while guiding and navigating them through all the tremendous changes in today’s and tomorrow’s business environment. EPTDA’s unique leadership training sessions cover the most actual and meaningful topics, and the attendees are leaving the presentations with tangible take-aways that will enhance their business exercise”, concludes Hans Hanegreefs.

In March 2018 at EPTDA’s Leadership Conference in Tenerife, and in conjunction with the association’s All Committees’ Days meetings, attendees will benefit of Robert Maguire’s highly-specialised knowledge and specific insights in the PT/MC industry. Robert Maguire is a recognised authority on the dynamics of buyer/seller relationships and the identification, quantification, and capture of value through innovative contracting and commercial mechanisms. At the end of his training, “How do you create value in the distribution process?”, the participants will better identify the value of their actions for their company, will discuss and learn the best practices, while networking with other leaders and peers.

On May 17th, 2018, at the premises of EPTDA’s member company Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG, Prof. Dr. Gunther Herr will share his expertise about the business models of the future, referring to how to save the future by thiking differently. For this he will concentrate on the aspects of the present borders as a source of future success, and on the strategic tools as an orientation for future development.

Prof. Dr. Herr received a PhD in the field of innovation-theories as an employee of the innovation-management department of the BMW AG in Munich. He is author and co-author of numerous publications on innovation-strategies, a partner of the WOIS Institut and also he is responsible for the specialization of “Strategic Innovation” of the Executive MBA at the Steinbeis University Berlin. He also lectures at Coburg University and the University of Prague.

The two previous EPTDA Regional Conferences took place at the SKF facilities in Luton (UK) and at Bonfiglioli in Bologna (Italy).
