We at EPTDA are well aware that one of the most important goals of our members is to get fresh indications about the global PT market trend and its players' performances. This is especially important in times of economic crisis like we are facing today. For this reason, the Know Your Market Committee has designed a simple and user-friendly "Trend Data Survey" with a specific focus on the following trends:
This new analysis intends to streamline the information and to share the global output among the EPTDA Members.
To make this new initiative useful and successful for ALL our Members, we strongly invite you to participate. You just need to make sure you have a few data available, and the rest is done in a few minutes!

Based on the results of these two surveys, which we trust will meet our Members' expectations, we will further develop the project on the basis of a regular investigation.

In an effort to providing EPTDA Members with valuable, accurate tools for their business, the Know Your Market (KYM) Committee developed a "balanced scorecard" for distribution in Europe - the ‘Distribution Flight Deck'.
EPTDA's Distribution Flight Deck is a tool to steer your own company based on major key performance indicators (KPI). The members of the KYM Committee have carefully selected the most relevant "factors of success", adapted to the nature of the technical distribution business.
By tailoring the flight deck to the strategic goals of their company, technical distributors can measure their competitiveness and run their business more effectively.
The Flight Deck in its current form comes as a project proposal by the Know Your Market Committee. It encompasses the most important aspects of running a business in the distribution industry.

The Flight Deck also addresses the problematic of ‘what can not be measured, can not be managed' - with the support of the Flight Deck, you can now "make your strategy measurable!"

In 2010, the Know Your Market Committee will take its project to the next level, developing an online survey to collect data on the selected KPI's of the Flight Deck and hence establish a valid benchmark to help EPTDA members assess their performance.

In 2007, the Know Your Market Committee initiated a project to analyse the performance of EPTDA members in each product category represented within EPTDA.
The Product Portfolio Analyis shows the composition of the turnover as well as the gross margins achieved in the single product groups.
