The European Power Transmission Distributors Association was strongly represented at Hannover Fair 2009.

A high-value pavilion

EPTDA's joint pavilion with the PTDA (Power Transmission Distributors Association), its sister organisation in the USA, offered its members a unique platform to exhibit at preferential conditions and yet guarantee them great visibility. The pavilion hosted 5 European members - 2 of which enjoy a shared EPTDA/PTDA affiliation.

The value of the pavilion was recognised by our exhibiting members: "It was a great experience that we shared together, as members of EPTDA exhibiting with other members at the Hannover Messe. You could feel the "esprit de corps" atmosphere and how we, together with our association, maintain belief in our institution, industry and goals; in ourselves and our others member colleagues. EPTDA opens doors to the world - it's a platform which creates opportunities for us," says Pavina Martin, Georg Martin GmbH (EPTDA member since 2008).

Successful Welcome Reception

EPTDA traditionally organises a Welcome Reception on its pavilion to welcome all its members and other key industry professionals present on the fairground. This year, EPTDA welcomed no less than 200 participants to celebrate together a Hannover Fair beyond expectations. Mr. Manfred Beitel, EPTDA President, was also there to greet EPTDA and other industry peers and kick off the event.

Strong EPTDA delegation

EPTDA tallied as many as 45 members exhibiting at the fair, representing, in addition to the some 25 other visiting members who made use of the free access tickets EPTDA had obtained for its members. In other words, about 40% of EPTDA's total membership was attending the Hannover Fair. They all could benefit from the exclusive conditions that EPTDA's pavilion brought along. The Hannover Fair is yet another occasion for EPTDA to meet with its members one on one and bring them together on a unique platform.

What's more, this year's fair opened new doors for EPTDA representatives while coming across PT/MC leaders with a high interest in joining the association. EPTDA has successfully raised its brand image over the past few years, and it's paying off now!

EPTDA is confident that the next edition of the Hannover Fair in 2011 on April 4-8, with the support of our associate member Deutsche Messe, will come up as another great and thriving experience. See you there in 2 years, on the EPTDA pavilion!
