EPTDA's All Commitees' Days

Introduction - 2010 - 2009 - 2008 - 2007

What are the All Committees' Days

The All Committees' Days is one of the most sought-after networking and educational event in EPTDA and the PT/MC industry. It brings together, on one platform, key decision-makers from distributor and manufacturer companies to address watershed issues and topics related to the association and the industry and set strategies for the future.

This 3-day event offers an exclusive opportunity to mingle with peers and create new contacts - professionally as well as personally. Meeting with 40-50 prime players of the industry in one place at one time is also a good way for you to minimise your costs.

In addition, it provides educational content with its "Executive Development Seminar" for all committee/council members to sharpen their insight into the industry and business management.

Practically speaking, the All Committees' Days meeting takes place twice a year - in March, at the location of the following year's convention; and in September, in combination with the annual EPTDA convention. It opens with the Executive Development Seminar on Thursday afternoon. A Welcome Dinner is organised on Thursday night for all Board, committee and council members before tackling more serious issues on Friday wiht the committee and council meetings. The Board of Directors hold their own meeting on Saturday morning.

You too want to participate and share your ideas? Then, please join one of the EPTDA Councils/Committees and take an active part in further building out the future of this association.

2008 All Committees' Days meeting in Rome
"A GREAT WAY TO NETWORK, EXPLORE & LEARN... AND BE HAPPY"

In March this year, EPTDA successfully hosted its 2008 All Committees Days at the Marriott Park Hotel in Rome. This "mini-convention" in one of the most spectacular and most loved cities in the world, beautifully set the stage for the Annual Convention in September. EPTDA welcomed nearly 40 delegates to the All Committees days this year giving them a taste of the association's new strategic direction and objectives, as it arrives at the eve of its 10 years anniversary.

The EPTDA President, welcomed the delegates and introduced them to the newly established corporate governance structure, which brings a fresh twist to all committees' and councils' activities and objectives going forward. The new volunteers, interested in being more active in the strategic development of the association, got deeper insight into its activities, role and objectives; before making a decision as to which committee would they want to be part of. This year, all the way from North Dakota, EPTDA welcomed Ms. Tamara Somerville from Posi Lock Puller Inc. as an active member of EPTDA and a volunteer to its newly created Know Your Market Committee.

Continuing the tradition of welcoming leaders from both organisations, to share best practises and trends across the Atlantic, EPTDA proudly welcomed the upcoming President of its U.S. affiliate organisation, PTDA, Mr. Drew Tucci. Mr. Tucci takes over the baton this year in October. He warmly addressed the audience and congratulated them on their 10 years journey. He said he was especially moved by the "one big family" charm of EPTDA, and admires the achievement and recognition that EPTDA has received in such a short period.

From ongoing speculation about the global economic climate and how to measure the pulse of our business to stay ahead of the game, many interesting discussions took place at this year's All Committees Days. One thought, however, that swept everyone's thoughts was "happiness". In Rome, EPTDA invited the celebrated speaker Mr. Ian Lynch for an exclusive executive development seminar for all delegates. Mr. Lynch's session focused on the "importance of happiness for success" which touched upon the simple facts of life, while emphasising on why setting the right priorities first is vital in achieving success - personal and professional.

With a fresh take on life and loads of valuable information and tools, the All Committees delegates concluded on a very successful and inspiring 3 days of learning, networking, exploring and being happy. Everything that a premier organisation like EPTDA stands for.

We invite more of our members and volunteers to engage themselves in the growth and strategic development of EPTDA. With the 'All Committees' Days' combined with Executive Development seminars, we hope to develop a real "mini convention" and attract more of our members to become active in our association.
