Committed to care

2009 programme - 2008 Programme

As a vital part of its ethical policy and activities, EPTDA strives to partner with charity organisations around the world, and make a contribution to support the welfare of society and the environment. All members and industry stakeholders are invited to donate discretely and voluntarily at any time of the year, or as part of their Annual Convention registration fees.

The European Power Transmission Distributors Association joins hands with international or local organizations to help and support projects that EPTDA deems within its scope of activities. This kind of partnerships is one of the concrete examples of EPTDA's commitment to responsible business.

We warmly invite all of our members, associates and partners to take part in the future projects. Your support is needed.

EPTDA invites you to make a change for good!
  • 2009 Programme

logoIn 2009, EPTDA continues its commitment to supporting the welfare of our society and the environment. EPTDA this year has selected an Italian charity organisation protecting the rights of children and adolescents through phone counselling centres, a research and a permanent institute on childhood and adolescence - Telefono Azzurro - for its charity programme.

Telefono Azzurro Onlus, based in Rome, is a permanent observatory of childhood. Their commitment is to turn into reality the rights of children and adolescents, in a society that really respects them. The core of Telefono Azzurro Onlus Foundation's activity is the telephone counseling service. For 365 days per year, night and day children find a real answer to their "right to be listened to", which has been recognized for children by the International Convention on the Rights of Children.

Since 1987 Telefono Azzurro Onlus is committed to promoting total respect of the child during the whole age of development, defending his natural potentialities of growth, and protecting him from any physical and psychological abuse. Telefono Azzurro Onlus's commitment is to turn into reality the rights of children and adolescents, in a society that really respects them.

More information on Telefono Azzurro Onlus and its activities can be found at www.azzurro.it.

EPTDA will contribute 10% of its total convention sponsorship revenues to this charity organisation. You too can make a difference and donate on a volunteer, individual basis.

  • 2008 Programme

In 2008, the Board of EPTDA decided to support a Belgium-based organization - the "Fondation Roi Baudoin" (King Baudouin Foundation). The focus this year is on special projects aimed at the welfare of autistic children.

The King Baudouin Foundation of Belgium, an independent and pluralistic foundation, pursues sustainable ways to bring about justice, democracy and respect for diversity. The activities of the King Baudouin Foundation are aimed at everyone who lives in Belgium but the Foundation also works at European and international levels. The mission of the King Baudouin Foundation is to help improve the living conditions for the population.

As the world recognises its first ever World Autism Awareness Day in 2008, EPTDA is contributing its 2008 charity efforts to special projects focusing on the autistic children supported by the King Baudouin Foundation.

More information on the Foundation and its activities can be found at www.kbs-frb.be.

Please join us in making a difference and contributing as much as we can.

EPTDA and King Baudouin Foundation thank you for your valuable contribution in 2008.
