EPTDA WELCOMES 7 NEW MEMBERS IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF 2014

Brussels, 11 July 2014

EPTDA is growing at a steady pace, with 13 new members in the first half of the year

The EMEA Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) – the leading organisation in Europe, Middle-East and Africa for distribution and manufacturing in the mechanical power transmission and motion control (PT/MC) sector continues to expand its membership base with high quality distributors and manufacturers in the PT/MC industry in order to bring more added value to present members and integrate prospective members in this leading executive platform.

Today, with receiving its latest 7 members, EPTDA has 237 member companies representing more than 26 billion annual sales volume of PT/MC products and employing over 250,000 staff across 30 countries.

EPTDA just welcomed two new distributor members from Austria and Switzerland - both branches of the German mother company Josef Blässinger GmbH & Co. They are ready to make the most of their recent membership, develop working relationships with other EPTDA members and increase visibility vis-à-vis suppliers for Austria and Switzerland. Sales activities with field representatives in Austria led to the foundation of Blässinger GmbH in Liezen, Austria in 2009, making it the first foreign Blässinger branch. Rene Baer AG is a supplier for comprehensive drive systems. The offered services range from the study of the problem up to the conception and production of drives. For standard solutions, it is possible to select from a wide array of standard products. The company became a member of the Blässinger Group in 2014. With nine locations and more than 150 employees in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Josef Blässinger GmbH & Co. KG is one of the largest German commercial enterprises in the field of anti-friction bearings and drive technology.

The latest manufacturer members are enthusiastic to build long lasting relationships with present EPTDA members. S.C. “RULMENTI” S.A., Romania; Kuroda Jena Tec, UK; Can-Am Chains (Europe) Ltd., UK; Nabeya Bi-tech Kaisha, Japan; and SAPITFLEX S.r.l., Italy are confident about the added value that their membership will bring to their businesses.
